Welcome to the Titanic Digital Museum!
Step right up and learn about the Titanic! Many people know about the events the night of the disaster, but few people know the history of the White Star Line, how the Titanic was constructed, and the political and cultural climate that led to her construction.
My name is Autumn McCord and I am a junior at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. This museum was created to signify my extent of content knowledge as evidence for receiving my teaching license. I became interested in the Titanic when I was around ten years old. I did not know much about the history of the Titanic or the White Star line, so that is why a part of this website is dedicated to that information. I love broadening my knowledge of topics and learning new information about topics I have already studied, so the Titanic was a perfect choice for me. There are references for my information and pictures found on the references page and there is a reflection that details what I have learned from this project and how I can use it in my future classroom.
I hope that you enjoy this museum and deepen your understanding of the Titanic.
The picture above is of the RMS Titanic leaving Southampton on April 10, 1912 ("The Titanic leaving," The Titanic leaving Southampton).
